Colorado's Redstone Skate Park has an area of twenty two thousand square feet. The park provides more than enough room for devoted and passionate skaters to practice and master well-known tricks or dream of gaining fame while creating their own signature moves. Redstone Skate Park is actually in Redstone Park one mile south of the Lucent Boulevard and the C-470 on Town Center Drive. The park is equipped with a beginners bowl, street skating, and an eight foot vertical bowl that can be found within a snake run. With all the different bowls and runs that can be found here it provides all of the qualities that any visitor could ever desire whether they are boarders, inline skaters, or BMX bikers. Whether the skater is a beginner or expert they will be able to find something to skate on that will challenge them and keep them excited. In the world of skating for those who take it seriously and hold the sport as an important part of their lives knows that it has to remain exciting and cannot get boring. One tool that is needed to keep it exciting is a fun and challenging platform to skate on. In order to enjoy this kind of skating atmosphere at Redstone certain rules have to be followed such as no smoking and not using BMX bicycles with pegs.
The Redstone is massive especially when its size is compared to other skate parks. The street terrain's footprint without taking into account the rest of the park is significantly larger than most other skate parks in regard to their entire square footage. Everything that is found on the terrain can be skated on. This part of the park is dominated with banks, stairs, rails, planters, curbs, and ledges.
Among the many bowls that can be enjoyed here at Redstone are the handicap bowl, the fish bowl, and the moguls. The handicap bowl is extremely popular because of its roll-in. It is really designed for beginners, but because it does have a roll-in even the professional skaters are drawn to take part in its design. The handicap bowl reaches depths from three feet to five feet providing high speed rides with its tight transitions. The largest bowl available at Redstone is the fish bowl with an amazing depth of 9.5 feet. Before attempting any of the bowls, skaters like to warm up their legs on the moguls. It is composed of a large amount of flat area with surprisingly tight transitions despite its small amount of depth. The mogul is directly connected by a spine to the handicap bowl so after finishing their warm-up skaters can move right into the real arena. Just as some artist may travel around the world to find inspiration, boarders, inline skaters, and bikers travel to this park to gain their inspiration. Redstone is a type of blank canvas for them and new and innovated tricks are created here every day by new talent that has been inspired by this park's architectural design.
