Chatfield is a State Park set around the Chatfield Reservoir, on the Platte River just outside of Denver. Despite its proximity to the city, the area is a haven for native wildlife as well as a beautiful place in which to relax and enjoy the fresh air.

The Chatfield reservoir and park attracts many of the local Denver residents out of the city, as well as being an attraction for visitors from further away who want to experience the magnificent natural beauty of Colorado. The park is set in the foothills to the southwest of Denver, and includes a section of the Platte River valley and the entire Chatfield reservoir.
