The Meadows of Castle Rock

The Meadows was designed to allow its residents to appreciate the natural beauty and splendor of Colorado. The development was carefully planned and built to ensure that while every comfort would be provided, nature would be preserved. From their new homes, Meadows residents can enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding open spaces and access to some of the most beautiful recreational spaces in the state.

Despite the proximity of the development to this beautiful wilderness, the Meadows is also within easy reach of the friendly community of Castle Rock. Castle Rock is an attractive town, with many historic brick buildings dating back to the Old West. There are some excellent restaurants and shops in the town, as well as a weekly farmer's market on Saturdays. The community enjoys a number of interesting events throughout the year, including the Artfest in the autumn and the Douglas County Fair and rodeo during the summer. There is also a local recreation center and a senior center.

The Meadows community lies within Douglas County, which is known for having one of the best school systems in the state. The Meadows is also within easy commuting distance of the Denver Tech Center. The wider area features a number of golf courses, including the high altitude courses at Red Hawk Ridge and The Ridge. The Rocky Mountains are also nearby, offering opportunities for outdoor activities and skiing.

The Meadows of Castle Rock is a master planned community, which means that it was designed to provide residents with everything that they would need to enjoy a good life. It is a beautiful neighborhood, with plenty of green and open space, including parks and an excellent trails system, which is connected to the extensive Plum Creek trails system. The trails system also helps to bring the community together, providing routes along which children cycle to school and neighbors go to visit one another. There are endless routes to run, walk or cycle. The Native Legend Open Space is one of the most interesting areas in which to walk. Scattered with displays created by Denver's Nature and Science museum, the trail provides an insight into the nature and history of the area.

The neighborhood also features sporting facilities including ball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts and a swimming pool. This makes the Meadows ideal for anyone who wants to enjoy the active lifestyle for which Colorado is famous.

The Meadows community is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Many community events and activities provide opportunities for the residents to meet one another and have fun. Many of these activities take place in The Grange Cultural Arts Center, which offers recreational facilities and events. The community swimming pool is at the center, but there are also other reasons to visit it. A number of educational programs and clubs use the center, for example, so it is the perfect place to learn a new skill or language.

The Meadows has been created with sustainability and environmental protection in mind. It is this concern for nature that has allowed the neighborhood to be developed without spoiling the area's spectacular natural beauty.

City Park: Denver's Favorite Green Space

City Park and the neighborhood that surrounds are set in east-central Denver. The majority of this area is taken up by the park itself, which is a huge and valuable piece of open space in the city. It is one of the largest and most popular parks in Denver. The park is approximately a mile in length and about three quarters of a mile in width. The neighborhood that is known as City Park includes the park itself and the area two blocks deep that runs along the southern edge of the park.

In the southwestern corner of the City Park neighborhood is a smaller green area called City Park Esplanade. This is also the location of East High School. The eastern part of the City Park neighborhood is sometimes known as the Bluebird District, because this is the location of the Bluebird Theater on Colfax Avenue. Colfax is a thriving economic center, with an abundance of shops, restaurants and other businesses, including a branch of Denver's famous Tattered Cover Bookstores.

City Park is the home of Denver Zoo and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, which is one of the city's most popular attractions. The park also has two lakes, called Duck Lake and Ferril Lake. Boating is permitted in the park. Paddle boats can be rented and there is a boathouse that can be hired for special events. The interactive fountain is one of the most popular features of the park during the summer months, when City Park also hosts a series of free concerts. The City Park Golf Course lies just to the north of City Park.

City Park was established to ensure that residents of Denver would have plenty of open space for recreation as the city expanded rapidly during the late 19th century. The initial layout of City Park was designed to combine the styles of a traditional English pastoral garden and the casual, flowing look of New York City's Central Park. The original designer was Henry Meryweather, who worked on the park in 1882. During 1893, further work was done on the park after the World's Fair of that year started the City Beautiful movement, which reformed a lot of the design in American cities at this time.

Much of the current park was already in place by the end of the 19th century, including Denver Zoo and Ferril Lake. The beautiful boat pavilion had also been completed by this time. Its Spanish style architecture was designed by William Fisher and John Humphreys.

Formal gardens were planted in the park by Reinhard Schuetze, who was then the head landscape designer for the city of Denver. Schuetze was also responsible for the East High School Esplanade and the elegant carriageways that were laid out through the park.

The Denver Museum of Nature and Science was built in 1908. Its situation on the high ground at the eastern edge of the park provided the museum with some of the best views of downtown Denver and the distant mountains that lie beyond it.

Another famous landmark in the park is the Shakespeare Elm, which is marked by a plaque. This tree was planted in 1916. The seed came from a tree that grew in Stratford on Avon, England, at Shakespeare's grave.

When it was first opened, City Park lay a mile away from Denver and visitors traveled to it on trolley buses. The neighborhood gradually developed around the park, with squatters and farmers making use of the surrounding land and the water from the ditch that was used to irrigate City Park. As the transport system was improved and the city of Denver continued to grow, the area around City Park became more developed and many new houses were constructed. Many of the historic red brick buildings, including traditional Denver squares, are still standing in the neighborhood today. A number of new residential and commercial developments have been constructed in the neighborhood in recent years.

Lakewood: A Center Of Culture In The Denver Region

Lakewood is one of the largest incorporated cities in the Colorado region, in terms of population. It lies just to the west of Denver, within Jefferson County. The Lakewood area first began to be developed in 1889. The population grew steadily as the settlement expanded, but it was not until 1969 that Lakewood was incorporated as a city.

Residents of Lakewood benefit from access to a wide range of different recreational facilities, including four recreation centers, two golf courses, a selection of community swimming pools, a community center and a wide variety of art galleries. There are also almost one hundred parks in the city, which offer a range of sporting facilities as well as plenty of space in which to relax. Many trails wander through the open space that surrounds the city, providing additional opportunities for running, hiking and cycling. Many of the residents living in Lakewood enjoy a very active lifestyle and make full use of all these recreational amenities.

The city of Lakewood has a wide range of different amenities, including many cultural venues as well as sporting and recreational ones. The area is very with professionals and older people, although the city is also very family friendly and has a healthy population of families with young children. Lakewood has a number of good schools, including the Lakewood High School, which is considered one of the best in the country. It is also the only school to offer the International Baccalaureate in Jefferson County.

One of the largest employers in Lakewood is the government, with many of the local people working at the Denver Federal Center. This center houses the largest concentration of federal agencies in the US, outside of Washington DC.

The most commercial area of Lakewood lies along West Colfax Avenue. The city did not develop a downtown area as it grew, but there are a number of shopping centers including the Colorado Mills mall. The area known as Belmar has become a modern downtown style area, with a range of different restaurants, stores and residential properties. This is now one of the busiest and most interesting parts of the city.

The Laboratory of Art and Ideas at Belmar is an exciting contemporary art venue that has been right at the center of the development of the Belmar area. The Laboratory is now associated with Denver's Museum of Contemporary Art and plays less of a role in the cultural life of Belmar. Together, these two institutions offer educational and cultural programs. They also host numerous interesting exhibitions.

Belmar and the city of Lakewood as a whole has a very culturally active community. The Lakewood Cultural Center features an auditorium, a gallery and a community room as well as a number of classrooms. It provides a diverse range of events and activities for the local people and often features work by local artists and schools.

The Lakewood Heritage Center near Kountze Lake is an interesting museum that provides an insight into local history. There are a number of historic buildings associated with the museum.

Bow Mar: A Lakeside Community

Bow Mar developed originally as an agricultural area that supplied the city of Denver as it grew. Two of the pioneering farmers who settled in the area were John Marston and Joseph Bowles. It is from the surnames of these two farmers that the area got its modern day name. It is still possible to see the farm that once belonged to the Bowles family, just to the south of the town of Bow Mar.

During the 1940s and 1950s, the continued growth of Denver generated a need for additional housing that surpassed the need for locally produced food from the Bow Mar area. The land was given over for residential development, with many single family homes being built before the end of the 1950s. Many of the houses were in the prairie style architecture derived from the work of Frank Lloyd Wright. They were built on large lots, with wide streets between them. Most properties were limited to a single storey at this time. In 1958, Bow Mar became an incorporated town. Since then, many of the original properties have been updated or demolished and replaced with modern buildings. The large one acre sized lots have been maintained however, as have the magnificent views of the Rocky Mountains that are enjoyed from all of the residences in Bow Mar.

The town of Bow Mar lies between Marston Reservoir and Bowles Lake, both of which provide excellent opportunities for outdoor recreation. Bowles Lake, which is also sometimes known as Bow Mar Lake is a favorite recreational site for the local residents. It is also the site of the annual regatta held by the town's Yacht Club. In addition to sailing on the water, the lake is used for skating during the winter and has some beautiful picnic sites around it.

The Bow Mar public beach is one of the most popular destinations for recreation and entertainment in the town. This is a lake beach that is along the shores of Bowles Lake. The beach is used throughout the year as a venue for concerts and other social gatherings and events.

A range of other sporting and recreational facilities are also available in the town, including tennis courts and some beautiful walking trails. The local homeowner's association organizes numerous social events throughout the year which help to foster a feeling of community within the town.

The area around Bow Mar contains some beautiful scenery and untouched countryside that is perfect for outdoor activities and which provides a home for many native species. The local bird sanctuary is the perfect place to spot some of the most interesting wildlife.

Bow Mar is within easy commuting distance of Denver, and the many amenities of the big city are likewise within easy reach of the residents of Bow Mar. Nevertheless, the town has a very close knit community that creates a small town, rural atmosphere.

The nearby Bear Valley and the downtown area of Littleton offer the best shopping opportunities in the local area. Denver and Littleton are both close to Bow Mar, and many residents choose to visit these larger communities in order to enjoy the amenities or a night out.

Many of the people who live in this neighborhood work elsewhere in the Denver area. It is ideal for anyone who has to work in the city, but who prefers to live in a smaller community. The area is particularly popular with people who work in engineering because of its proximity to the Lockheed Martin facility, which employs many of the locals.
